Goal

Through supervised and independent work, enable the student to develop the ability to apply the acquired knowledge and skills, and through well organized work to achieve a higher degree of professional independence and master the skills and knowledge necessary for the work of a professional dental prosthetist.
Are in accordance with the set goals and the foreseen competencies that accompany the contents of professionally applied subjects. They enable the student to advance practical skills within the teaching subjects from which professional practice is realized.

Course Description

The content of professional practice 1 is in accordance with the content of the subjects planned for the implementation of professional practice, namely: dental morphology, apparatus and instruments in the dental laboratory, gnatology, oral hygiene, fixed prosthetics 1 and technology of dental materials.\nProfessional practice is realized from professionally applied subjects, during the first and second semesters, and partly during the summer months. In the course of Professional Practice 1, the student should put into practice the acquired knowledge and skills, as well as expand and acquire new knowledge and mastery of skills. Professional Practice 1 is implemented within certain teaching subjects in the reference health institutions with which the school has a cooperation agreement.\n\nProfessional Practice 1 is implemented under the supervision of teachers and / or school associates. \nThe total pool of Professional Practice 1 classes is 4 hours per week.\n\nDuring the implementation of professional practice, students have all the rights and obligations of full-time students.\n

Teaching methods

In the implementation of professional practice 1, all teaching methods within the teaching subjects are applied. Practicing acquired skills under the supervision of teachers and / or associates, practical team work, practical independent work of the student.\n\nThe student is required to keep a Journal of Professional Practice, which is signed and certified by an associate / mentor and a school teacher. The subject teacher confirms the completion of the Professional Practice, with some commentary and observations based on regular attendance at the professional practice and the level of mastery of the skills, as well as based on the evaluation / opinion of the associate / mentor. The grade is given after checking the knowledge and skills, as well as on the basis of the work log. Professional practice is evaluated descriptively - “very successfully realized” from 85-100 points; \"Successfully realized\" of 55-84 points; or \"not realized\" 54 points or less.
